![]() ![]() I update all my addons manually and I do not update unless it breaks. Hi Movix, Very usefull addon that I like tu use during our RAID I was looking on to find an updated version since this addon is not yet supported by WoWmatrix And today with a simple google search I find that Targeter is on Curse with a new version plz add support to wowmatrix like you provide for GEM 3. Now, hopefully both sites will be able to continue to provide the service they give us and addon authors will get some donations because people will be visiting their page(I have no clue if there is a Donate button on either client, since I don't use them). It was also difficult for WoWI and curse to keep up servers because wowmatrix bypassed the ads they have on their site that cover the costs. WowMatrix is a 100 FREE WoW AddOn Installer and Updater thats completely safe to use and contains no keyloggers or spyware. WoWMatrix should make a site that addon authors can host their addons on, solicit it, and use that site as a base for their program and not steal bandwidth off of what isn't theirs.īecause of the new addon policy, it's was much more difficult to get donations because a lot of people used wowmatrix. WoWMatrix did, from what I've read, offer both of them some money, but it was nowhere near enough to cover the bandwidth it steals. Even if wowmatrix was a "good" program, it was stealing bandwidth from both sites(making patch days horrible) and driving the server costs for both sites up the roof. WOW Matrix is just like an updated version of the curse client. It also notes the addons that it doesn't support. This is a good thing. Before opening World of Warcraft, just fire up WowMatrix and let it update your WoW. ![]() Once I started using it I checked on the "supporting" site for the addons I run and found that in all cases for supported addons that I use WowMatrix always correctly identified and grabbed the latest version. WowMatrix is 100 FREE, runs beautifully on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, and is completely safe to use with no harmful components such as keyloggers or spyware. I was leery of running an executable but when I checked up on it I found that its recommended by Apple as an add on for gaming on Macs. Here are some of the WoW AddOns supported by WowMatrix, with more being added. Is there an alternative solution to wowmatrix I dont want to download everything manually like I did before. This would explain why I have many errors with my guys. Recently curse and wowinterface (think thats the name) have blocked wowmatrix from downloading addons. Having to manually update the few non-WowAce addons I run from various sites isn't a big hassle anyway. Curse Addons Wow Fix 2: Make Sure the Directory of Addon Folder Is Right. Wowmatrix was great for keeping my add ons up to date. It may only cover addons hosted at WowAce, but that guarantees that I've got the latest, safest, official version of every addon it updates, given how regulated WowAce is. I use the WowAceUpdater and it works well for me. And you certainly can't guarantee that it's a safe version, because in reality anyone has access to upload at sites like WoWi and Curse. but Ive gotten several viruses via Curses downloads and, yes, Im lazy enough to want to just click. You can't guarantee that the version WowMatrix is grabbing from Curse of WoWi is actually the most up-to-date and not just a random fan upload. Maybe WoW Matrix is using up bandwidth and everything. Before opening World of Warcraft, just fire up WowMatrix and let it. I can't vouch that it's otherwise safe, but I dislike that part alone. Curse Addons Wow Most addons that dont have a separate classic version will list. Try It Use WowMatrix to download and keep WoW AddOns up-to-date. ![]() I haven't used WowMatrix, but from what I gather it tries to update from all the available addon sites at once. Here is a simple example: showtooltip castsequence reset2 Curse of Pain, Corruption. ![]()
